Blake Joseph Sigmon, 24, of Lancaster and formerly of Hanover, surrendered his spirit to his Lord Jesus on Friday, January 16, 2015 at his home.
Born on Monday, May 14, 1990, he was the youngest son of Conrad Sigmon, Jr. of South Mountain and John T. and Theresa E. LaRosa-Haladej of Ephrata. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ernest B. LaRosa and Sallie E. McVicker LaRosa, paternal grandmother, Jackie Sigmon; an aunt, Nealie Mae LaRosa; his eldest brother, Norman Michael Miller Sigmon; and a beloved cousin, Emily Blische.
Blake was a kind and giving man, who was accomplished in the skills in both electronics and computer science. He had a very giving heart to everyone and always looking out for others and supporting their special needs. Family was extremely important to him and he could be found behind the lens taking pictures of their special times together.
In addition to his parents and stepfather, he is survived by a sister, Brooke Fermaint and her husband, Dario Fermaint of Odenton, MD; a brother, Brenden L. Sigmon and his partner in life, Kayla Justice of Spring Grove; paternal grandparents, Margaret and Conrad Sigmon, Sr. ; four nieces, Serenity and Skyla Sigmon and Dezarae and Destyni Fermaint; cousins, Robin L. Blische and Lisa Mays, Christopher Warble, Edward Shrewsbury, Jr. and Robbie, Lauren and Mason Blische; beloved, treasured companion, Troy Joseph Hickey of Lancaster; his beloved childhood friend, Will Forsythe of South Mountain and many extended family members and friends. He also leaves behind his most trusted and loyal friend, Strayer.
The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at St. Mary’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3978 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD with The Rev. Dr. H. Lee Brumback, II officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Dubs Church Cemetery, 1958 Dubs Church Road, Hanover. The family will receive friends and family from 6 pm to 8 pm Monday at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway,Hanover.
