Beulah A. Larsen, 71, wife of Robert W. Larsen, entered into eternal rest at her home in Hanover, Monday, May 20, 2013, following a lengthy illness.
Born June 21, 1941 in Lexington, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Linnie Troxell Bonta. She was also preceded in death by her brothers; Walter and Sherman Bonta, sister; Ruby Johnson, and father and mother in-law; Walter and Evelyn Larsen.
Beulah was a 1959 graduate of Lafayette High School in Lexington, KY. She retired from Country Companions Assisted Living in Taneytown, MD after many years of service. Mrs. Larsen was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Hanover, PA and a lifetime member of Friends of Codorus. She was also a Brownie Girl Scout leader, a Sunday school teacher, and helped at the day camps at Emmanuel United Church of Christ. Beulah enjoyed spending time in Ocean City, MD.
In addition to her loving husband of 50 years, she is survived by daughters; Shelley Funk, and her husband Jeff, of Frederick, MD, and Susan Martz, of Hanover; three grandchildren, Dylan and Melanie Funk, and Jordan Martz; a sister; Betsy Shipp of Hiram, GA; and brother; Joe Bonta of Lexington, KY
A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover, with The Rev. Earl Marks officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the funeral home.
