Betty Jane Wright

Betty Jane Wright, 93, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Genesis Healthcare- the Gettysburg Center.

Born on Saturday, August 16, 1930 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Cora A. Sipling Little. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Ellsworth Wright, who died in 1985; and three sisters, Mary Heck, Dorothy Radolec, and Ida Gobrecht. Betty retired from Double Day Publishing and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses Lake Marburg Congregation. She was the hardest working woman who enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting, and knitting.

Survivors include her five children, Barbara Ann Bless, Gloria Jean Edkin and her husband, Paul, Daniel Wayne Wright and his wife, Kim, Linda Marie Haverstock, and John Edward Wright and his wife, Dawn; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately.
