Betty L. Smith, 78, previously of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at York Hospital following a period of declining health.
Born on August 3, 1933 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Bertha Hartlaub Krug. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Myers and a brother, John W. Krug, Jr. She was employed by Middleburg Manufacturing Co. for many years.
She is survived by her sisters, Evelyn R. Keith of Hanover and Shirley A. Sload of York and several nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover with The Rev. James E. Lease officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
