Betty E. Martz, 82, of New Oxford, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, November 6, 2015 at her home.
Born on Wednesday, May 17, 1933 in Abbottstown, she was a daughter of the late Harry E. and Lillie Pascoe Small. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Eller; four sisters, Marie Weaver, Dorothy Rorrer, Mary Menchey and Delores Hyser; and a grandson, Delbert Eller, Jr. Betty was a devout catholic and was a member of the St. Vincent dePaul Parish.
Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Reed and her husband, Jim, of New Oxford, and Shirley Davidson of South Mountain; two sons, George Martz and Raymond Martz, Jr.; a brother, Burnell Small of Hanover; five grandchildren, Gary L. Martz, Christina Irvin, Stephen A. Eller, and Johnny and Allen Reese; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 6 to 8 pm Monday, November 9, 2015 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover. A recitation of the rosary will be said at 8 pm. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 10 am Wednesday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, 6084 W. Canal Road in Abbottstown.
