Betty L. Keiser, 91, of East Berlin, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 26, 2015 at York Hospital.
Born on Wednesday, December 12, 1923, in Tarrs, PA, she was a daughter of the late Robert Kane and Della Finfrock Mawhinney and step-daughter of David Mawhinney. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harry A. Keiser, Jr., who died in 1999; a son, David Keiser; and one sister, Tillie Widenhofer.
Mrs. Keiser retired after 26 years of service as a clerk stenographer with the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop A in Greensburg. She was a member of the New Life Assembly of God in East Berlin. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Betty enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing.
Survivors include a daughter, Deb Quinn and her husband, Rick, of East Berlin; a son, Ron Keiser and his wife, Eva, of Boise, ID; a daughter-in-law, Donna Keiser of Henderson, NV; a granddaughter, Diane Keiser of Lubbock, TX; two step-grandchildren, Meg Quinn and Josh Quinn; a sister, Jane Drazga of Uniontown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 6:30 pm Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the New Life Assembly of God with Pastor Joel Everhart officiating. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 5 to 6:30 pm at the church. The interment will be held at 11am Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Westmoreland County Memorial Park Chapel in Greensburg with Pastor Keith Solomon officiating.
