Betty L. Brown, 56, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at her home.
Born Tuesday, July 15, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of Lucille J. Goellner Brown of Hanover and the late Elmo H. Brown. She was a graduate of McAuley High School in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Betty was a Customer Service Manager at Packaging Corporation of America in Hanover. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Amvets Post #22 Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are three aunts, Betty Y. Sitter of Cape Girardeau, MO, Helen Kitchin of St. Charles, MO, and Doris Kitchin of Louisville, KY; and an extended family of friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Thursday, November 6, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, celebrated by The Rev. Stephen Kelley. Burial will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ed and Barb Rist, Randy Adams, Donnie Craig, Jim Handy and Marti Clouse.
The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held from 10 to 11 am Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of York County, 3159 Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17402.
