Bernard “Boch” Klunk, 79, of Hanover entered into God’s eternal care Friday, January 20, 2012 at Hanover Hall.
Born March 14, 1932 in Hanover, he was a son of Martin and Margaret Pentz Klunk, and was also preceded in death by his wife of more than 50 years, Barbara A. Groft Klunk, who died in 2003; four brothers, Charles, Harry, William and Paul; and two sisters, Joyce and Gloria. He was a veteran of the US Navy.
Along with his wife and son, Scott, they operated Boch’s Lunch Wagon which is now in its 5oth year of service. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a life member of the Harold H. Bair American Legion Post # 14, Hanover VFW Post # 2506 and the Hanover Amvets Post # 22.
Survivors include six children, Michael A. Klunk and his wife, Trish, of Hanover, Jacqueline “Jackie” M. Wright and her husband, Denny, of Gettysburg, Joseph E. Klunk and his wife, Ann, of Clifton, NJ, Theresa A. Serviss and her husband, Dan, of Wilmington, DE, P. Scott Klunk and his wife, Ann, of Spring Grove, and Julie A. Henry and her husband, Joe, of Hanover; three brothers, Donald, Edward and Thomas; one sister, Rose Marie; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with The Rev. Joseph F. Gotwalt serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery with military honors rendered by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held 5:30-8:00 pm Monday at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with a prayer service at 8:00 pm.
