Services: Funeral services were held in Ohio, but a brief graveside burial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 11, at St. Paul's (Dubs) Union Cemetery with The Rev. Christina Minnich officiating.

Barry F. Gentzler, formerly of York, PA., passed away peacefully at his home in Chardon, OH., on Sunday, July 5, 2009, after a long, valiant battle against heart disease. He was lovingly surrounded by his wife Theresa; son, Michael Gentzler (Jennifer Cox) of Wayne, PA.; and daughters, Amy Gentzler (Michael Wendell) of Morgantown, W.V., and Lisa Sadler (Rick) of Fort Myers, FL. Barry also leaves a large extended family, including many grandchildren and six stepchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merl F. and Margaret H. (Dubs) Gentzler of York, Pa., where he was born May 12, 1937, and spent his entire childhood. Barry was a successful executive, entrepreneur and consultant and spent extensive time traveling, which led him to nearly every country and region of the world. Barry obtained a BS in Engineering & Commerce from Drexel and an MBA from New York University. He also served as an artillery officer in the U.S. Army in the 1960s. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Thompson, OH., where he served until his illness as the head deacon.
