Barry E. Brown, 81, passed away on April 9, 2024 at the Village at Utz Terrace.
He was born May 8, 1942 in Williamsport, PA, the son of the late Loren Ross Brown and Gladys Mae (Rohrbaugh) Brown. Barry graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor's Degree in History, and the University of North Carolina Wilmington with advanced degrees in computer science. Barry taught history at Penn State Altoona and Main Campus and later worked as a government contractor in the early stages of computer implementation at the Dahlgren Lab in Virginia. He had a lifelong love of learning and reading and was a fount of information on many subjects. Barry was a kind and generous person.
Barry is survived by his aunt, Jean Palmer, and several cousins.
Funeral services will be private.
