Audrey V. Adams

On May 5th 2019, Another Earth Angel gained her wings, Audrey Verna Adams (née Eckert).

Audrey was born in St. Mary’s, PA on March 21st 1936 to the late Herbert and Frances Eckert from St. Mary’s. She was very much loved by George Adams, her wonderful husband of 30 years, and was treasured by her siblings & their spouses; Steve and Marie Eckert, Elaine and Ken Mosier, Sylvia and Ray Garner and Val and Pete Rung. Audrey was admired by her seven children and their spouses; CC and Steve Mazzeo, Denise and David Lengel, Wanda Gutmann, Pete and Patty Brehm, Marychris and Gary Grauel, Leslie and Bob Knisley, and Russell and Stacey Brehm; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Audrey was a long~time resident of Hanover PA where she had many friends and enjoyed socializing in The North Pointe Community. She attended the Monday Craft Group where we she crocheted and donated many special projects. Audrey created The Book Nook Club and hosted monthly get~togethers. She enjoyed attending local activities, monthly breakfast socials and decorating the Activity Center. Audrey was great at hosting parties in their home and enjoyed volunteering at the Guthrie Memorial Library in Hanover.

A funeral will be held at 11 AM Thursday, May 9, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover with The Rev. Msgr. James M. Lyons officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held privately at Mountain View Cemetery in Marriottsville, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Guardian Angel Center, 364 Main Street, PO Box 24, Kersey PA 15846.
