Arlene V. Fink, 92, entered into God’s eternal care Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community.
Born on Monday, July 11, 1921 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Ervin A. and Hilda M. Geiman Fuhrman. She was also preceded in death by her husband of more than 63 years, Thomas E. Fink, who died in 2004; a sister, Gladys Miller; and a brother, Amos Fuhrman.
Arlene retired, after many years of service, from Hanover Shoe and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She loved flowers and dogs, especially Boxers.
Survivors include six nieces, Patricia Olson, Susan James, Cynthia Deatrick, Peggy Rhoten, Kathy Keller and Jackie Bible; a sister-in-law, Marion Fuhrman; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11 am Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Grace United Methodist Church with The Rev. Richard D. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric James, Nathan James, Michael Spangler, Debra Sowers, Elizabeth Kuhn and Robert Deatrick.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm Monday at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 55 Albright Drive, Hanover, PA 17331 or to Lutheran Home Care and Hospice, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
