Anna L. Wilt, 86, of Glenville, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 5, 2010 at Hanover Hospital.
Born March 20, 1924 in the village of Iron Ridge, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Virgie Becker Hoover, and was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Llewellyn J. Wilt; a son, Timothy J. Wilt and a sister, Gladys Miller. She recently celebrated her birthday with her family by her side.
Farming all of her life, she and her husband tended to their 65 acre farm in Brodbecks, where she was able to enjoy her love of the outdoors, the wildlife and her family. Among her many pets, she had a special fondness for her cats.
Survivors include her three daughters, Mary P. Dehoff and husband, John and Anna Louise Lovett and husband, Lonnie, all of Spring Grove and Carolyn A. Trone of Glenville; two sons, Michael Wilt and his wife, Susan and Joseph A. Wilt, a brother, Herbert Hoover all of Spring Grove; 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, with an eighth great-grandchild expected in May.
The funeral will be held 10 am Friday, April 9, 2010 at Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church, 1398 Moulstown Road, Hanover with The Rev. David L. Delong and The Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons; Sam, Tommy, Greg, and Andrew Wilt, Austin Becker, and Philip Dehoff.
The viewing will be held from 6-8 pm Thursday at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc. 311 Broadway, Hanover.
