Anna Kathryn Shanabrook

Anna Kathryn Shanabrook, 92, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Genesis- The Gettysburg Center.

Born on Monday, July 11, 1932 in Gettysburg, she was a daughter of the late Murray Edward Wentz and Katharine Elizabeth Lupp Wentz. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William D. Shanabrook; her son, Larry Shanabrook; and three siblings, Richard Wentz, Ray Wentz, and Sandra Martin. Anna was a graduate of Gettysburg High School and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was very generous and loved to donate to different charities.

Survivors include her brother, James Wentz and his wife, Bonnie, of Lantana, FL; a grandson, Adam Shanabrook, of Denver, CO; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 10 AM at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 725 Baltimore Street, Hanover.
