Anna Mae "Ricky" Trone
Anna Mae “Ricky” Trone, 91, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Homewood at Plum Creek.
Born on Thursday, September 22, 1932 in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Oliver H. Newman and Katie Mae Jacoby Zinn. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Witmer K. “Jack” Trone, who died in 2020. Mrs. Trone was a 1951 graduate of Eichelberger High School, and had attended the Hanover School of Beauty and the Pittsburgh Advanced Academy. She was the owner and operator of the Plaza Beauty Salon for 30 years and was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. She participated in the South Hills Ladies Nine Hole Golf League, was a member of the Elks BPOE Lodge #723 Ladies Auxiliary, and did volunteer work at Hanover Hospital and the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center.
Survivors include her brother, Michael Zinn and his wife, Cynthia; nieces and nephews, Holly Zinn and her husband, Shawn Marchio, Michael Zinn, II and his wife, Jennifer, and Hilary Zinn Bloom and her husband, Joshua; nine great-nieces and nephews; and four great-great-nieces and nephews.
A private service is planned for her family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 W. Chestnut Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
