Services: The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 16, 2009 at Trinity United Church of Christ where she was a lifelong member and active in many of its organizations. The Rev. Dr. Karin Stork-Whitson will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation: The viewing will be held from 6 to 8 pm Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover.

Anna Mae Bish, 87, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Homewood at Plum Creek.Born on March 19, 1921 to the late George L. and Eva M. Devlin Garrett, she was a native and lifelong resident of Hanover. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph D. Bish, who died in 1977. She was a 1939 graduate of Eichelberger High School and continued her education at Catawba College, earning a B.S. Degree in Home Economics Education in 1943. She later taught Home Economics at Elizabethville Sr. High School, Edgar Fahs Smith Jr. High School, Susquehanock Jr. and Sr. High Schools, South Western Jr. and Sr. High Schools and Hanover Sr. High School. She was a member and past president of the Hoffman Homes for Youth Ladies Auxiliary. She also held memberships with the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Hanover Chapter #378 Order of the Eastern Star, and the Digges’ Choice Chapter Daughters of the American Colonists (DAC).Survivors include a daughter, Susan L. Bish of Pikesville, MD; a sister, Mary Louise “Becky” Leonard of Potomac. MD; two nieces, one nephew, two great-nieces, and five great-nephews.
