Andrew Todd Farley, 57, of Hanover, loving husband of Janice Huff Farley, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at his home following complications from a stroke.
Born on Wednesday, August 10, 1960 in Hanover, he was a son of Judith Klinedinst Farley of Hanover and the late Richard J. “Dick” Farley. A member of the South Western Class of 1979, he attended York County Area Vocational-Technical School and was employed by the Hanover Borough for more than 30 years.
An avid golfer, he was a regular at South Hills Golf Club where he played in both the evening leagues and Team Play. He was a man of nicknames; being known as “Uncle Boob”, “Homer” and “Clip” by his friends and family and of course "Pappy" by his granddaughter. Extremely devoted to his family, he was a great provider. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Audrey Mae, and looked forward to more grandchildren in the future. He was active at the McMaster Family Reunion where he helped with games and the Paddle Wheel. He was a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles-Aerie #1406 where he was known by many and shared many great times with his friends there. An outdoorsman, he found time to hunt, camp and golf, which was his favorite. He will be remembered by his golfing buddies for his broad smile.
In addition to his wife of nearly 31 years and his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Abby Farley and her companion, Joshua Brant of Codorus who are expecting Andy’s second grandchild on November 10th, Allison Farley and her companion, Sean Mossman of Hanover; one granddaughter, Audrey Mae Mossman; four sisters, Carol Louey and her husband, Dennis of Hanover, LuAnn McKim and her husband, James of Thomasville, Margaret Ecker and her husband, John of Glen Rock and Melissa Zartman and her husband, Rex of Spring Grove; a brother, James Farley and his wife, Susan of Hanover; many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly; and his dog, Zuzu, who he walked everyday. He was predeceased by his sister Pamela Mae Sanders who died in 2016.
The funeral will be held at 10 am Friday, June 8, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with The Rev. Ryan M. Fischer officiating. The family will receive friends at a viewing from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday at the church.
