A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM Thursday, November 6, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church by Rev. Timothy Marcoe. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Visitation:
A viewing will be held 9-10:00AM Thursday at the church.
Anastasia “Peggy” Bethas Klunk, 85, of Fairfax, VA, formerly of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the Fairfax Nursing Center.Born August 16, 1923 in Mahanoy City, PA to the late Peter and Ellan Brennan Bethas, she was married to the late Harry J. Klunk for 59 years, before his death in 2004. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, John Bethas and William P. Bethas, and a sister who passed away recently, Barbara “Bunny” McMonigle. Mrs. Klunk attended Eichelberger High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.Survivors include two daughters, Donna Marie (Kopp) Chizz and Patricia Walters and her husband, Stephen, all of Falls Church, VA; two sons, Harry “Sonny” Klunk, Jr. of Ocean City, NJ, and Peter Klunk and his wife, Susan, of York; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one brother, James “Ted” Bethas of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ; three sisters, Victoria Eichelberger of McSherrystown, Dorothy Noel and Ellen Zartman, both of Hanover; and a half sister, Babe Zartman of Hanover.
