Allon Jeffrey Offord, affectionately known as "Jeff" was born on August 15, 1963, in St. John's Hospital in Tulsa Oklahoma. Greeting him in heaven will be his father Alfred I. Offord, mother Shirley A. Offord and youngest brother, Jeffroe "Butch" Brown.
Jeff is the second of six children and the oldest son. He attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School, Edison Middle and High School and Central High School. As a young person, he loved playing baseball in the backyard with his siblings, basketball with friends and doing odd jobs around the neighborhood to make extra money. He was also a gifted mathematician and musician, playing the guitar and even jamming and practicing with childhood friend who became a world renowned jazz bassist, the late Waymon Tisdale. Jeff enjoyed listening to soul, funk and more recently, hard rock music. He had a fondness for cars and like his father, loved to dress up and smell good. Jeff also enjoyed nurturing his younger siblings and spending time with his daughter and grandchildren.
Jeff was a peaceful and kind soul, most recently adopting a practice of planning and affirming positivity into his life. He had a work ethic that was unmatched throughout his life, leading him to succeed in all that he wanted to accomplish. Jeff was generous to a fault and always willing to help family and friends in need. No one ever not benefited from his generosity. Working hard and achieving success was his mantra, along with the nature of humility and honesty. As an adult, Jeff lived in Texas and more recently became a part of the South Central Pennsylvania community where he thrived and lived his last 8 years on earth in Hanover.
Jeff leaves to mourn him, daughter Allona Chante Young (Shuntrell) of Memphis, Tennessee, four grandchildren, Myina S. Young , Kaydreon D. Young, Shuntrell F. Barr Jr , Aiyana M Barr; sister Myneca Offord Ojo of Hanover, PA; brother Michael Offord (Stacy) of Hutto, Texas, brother Donald Offord of Denver, Colorado, and sister Dr. Amiesha Tracie Brown (Cheryl P.) of Dallas, Texas. He also is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 11 AM at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc 311 Broadway, Hanover with the Reverend Dr. Mark K. Kearse, Pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in York, Pennsylvania officiating the service. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service
