Allen "Smoke" Stover
Allen “Smoke” Stover, Jr., 86, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at his home.
Born on Tuesday, December 4, 1928 in Spring Grove, he was a son of the late Allen Stover, Sr. and Jestie Mary Ann Rupprecht Stover. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Louise Williams Stover, who died in 2014; a son, Michael Allen Stover; four brothers; and one sister. Mr. Stover retired in 1983 from Bethlehem Steel at Sparrows Point, MD after nearly 28 years of service, and had attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Broadway in Hanover.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Terrence McCarthy officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s (Lischey) Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1214 Broadway, Hanover, PA 17331.
