Services: A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 3:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover.
Visitation: Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Adolf Greguras, 87, of Spring Grove entered into God's eternal care 11:55 A.M. Sunday morning, May 27, 2007 at Hanover Hospital. He was the loving husband of Shirley Bahr Greguras to whom he was married over 35 years. Born in Ambridge, PA on May 30, 1919 he was the son of the late John P. and Anna Pavlakovich Grguras. Mr. Greguras retired as a Machine Shop Supervisor in the Engineering Service Department at the Naval Ordnance Lab in White Oak, MD. He was a member of NARFE Chapter #1797, Birmingham Lodge No. 188 Free and Accepted Masons, MD, The Supreme Council-Scottish Rite of Free Masonry,MD and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Hanover Lodge #763. During World War II, Mr. Greguras served his country as a Staff Sergeant with the 9th Bomb Group 20th Air Force in the South Pacific and was awarded the Air Crew Badge, and the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with two bronze stars for his service during the air offensive for Japan and the Eastern Mandates. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Barbara and husband Wayne Robey of Avenue, MD, a son John Gregury and wife Eileen of Stafford, VA, a step daughter Sharon and husband Pat Beavers of Sunderland, MD, 6 grandchildren Marc, Matt, Patrick, John, Lisa and Kate, 7 great grandchildren, a niece Carol and husband Les Robinson, a sister Delores and husband Bill Gross, also many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Kay Hettish. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 3:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The Rev. Kenneth S. Heasley will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
