Fred M. Harbold

Fred M. Harbold, 88, of Dover, passed away at Providence Place in Dover on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.

Born on January 5, 1935, he was a son of the late Claribel V. V. Trostle Haar and Paul Harbold. He was also the stepson of the late G. Philip Haar. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 55 years, Shelby Harbold, who died in 2017; an infant brother, Ronald Harbold; brother, Galen Haar; and his brother-in-law, Pat Jacoby. Fred retired from P. H. Glatfelter and was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Hanover. He proudly served his country in the US Army.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Deborah Haar; nephew, Jarrod (Alexis) Haar; niece, Briana (Tim) Marowsky; and nieces, Lauren and Margo Jacoby. He is also survived by several great nephews and nieces.

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 2, 2023 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hanover with Patti Miller officiating.
